GarageBand for Windows
There is no GarageBand for Windows: it is made only for Mac, iPhone and iPad. To make music the same way on a Windows PC, use a free music editor that runs in your browser. Prodverse’s has instruments, drums, a piano roll and recording, with nothing to install. Pick a style below to hear a beat, then open it in the editor.
Pop at 110 BPM in G major: Drums, Bass, Keys, Pluck. Straight drums with a clap on 2 and 4, a bass on the chord roots, and bright keys or guitar playing four chords.

Questions about GarageBand on Windows
Is there a GarageBand for Windows?
No. GarageBand is made only for Mac, iPhone and iPad, and there is no official Windows version. Downloads that call themselves “GarageBand for Windows” are not the real app, so be careful installing them.
What is the best free GarageBand alternative on Windows?
One that lets you start making music without learning a lot first. Prodverse’s editor runs free in the browser on Windows with instruments, a drum grid, a piano roll, recording and effects, and it can start you off with a beat to change.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Open Prodverse in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on your Windows PC or laptop. A MIDI keyboard works in Chrome and Edge.
Can I open my GarageBand projects?
Not directly. On a Mac, export the parts you want as audio or MIDI files, then drop them into Prodverse’s editor to keep working on them.
Is it free?
Making music in the editor is free, and a free account can download the notes as MIDI. Downloading the audio as WAV or MP3 needs a paid plan or a $2.99 purchase for that song.
Make music on your PC
Open the free editor in your browser with a beat playing, then add chords, a melody and your voice. No account needed to start.
